Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Assessments
I complete ADHD and Autism assessments for adults and adolescents.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is psychotherapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems. It targets your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
DBT is a psychotherapy approach that aims to help you cope with everyday and extraordinary challenges by developing specific skills. The main DBT skills are mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation. DBT is a modified type of CBT.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment that is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. It can be used with depression, anxiety, PTSD, C-PTSD, phobias, traumas + more.
Attachment-based Therapy
Attachment-based psychotherapy addresses the limiting effects of negative early attachment experiences. We work together to strengthen the capacity for secure relationships so you are better able to communicate openly and accurately. This will lead to more adaptive feelings, thoughts, and behaviours in life.
Modalities I use
Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
IPT is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on improving your relationships with others to relieve mental health symptoms. “Interpersonal” means “being, relating to or involving relations between persons.” The focus is often on communication, stressful life events, life transitions and grief.
Psychodynamic therapy
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the internal, unconscious mental forces that we are largely unaware of. These processes drive emotions, personality and behaviour.
